Winter Favorites 2020

Yes, there were good things in 2020 😏 And although winter is not quite over in Colorado…

the view from my window as of February 2021

I’m over winter! Hahaha So I will share my Winter Favorites now ❄️ πŸ™‚

K-Pop!

I just discovered K-pop, and Kai’s mini-album has been getting a lot of play in my room! 카이’s music is so much fun! And wow, K-pop artists put so much time and effort into their music videos!

good from start to finish!

No, I have no idea what the Superb Owl commercial was all about— I didn’t hear it. We have a tendency to mute commercials and chat instead of watching them πŸ˜… Why would I watch commercials?

All I know is that Letter to You has been a fantastic album!! And here’s the kicker: this is my first time listening to Bruce Springsteen 😁

I know, I know! I’ve managed to live in the U.S. for this long, and I have never listened to this man. I don’t know how that happened, I just know that I really like this album! Maybe I should try his older albums, too. Any suggestions?

“Santa’s Blueberry Shortbread”

yum

☝️ And this is for when you want your husband to ask, “Did you eat cookies??” πŸ˜‚ Hahaha Every time.

all great books

I also read Escape From Camp 14, which was recommended in my comments. That led me to want to know about the Korean War (why north and south?), so I read two more books on the topic. These were all amazing books! On Desperate Ground answered the big question I had: “Why did China help the North Koreans fight against U.S. forces?” It didn’t make sense. It seemed that China/Mao had nothing to gain. But now I know, and now I understand a little more Korean history.

from Louisiana

Oh, and more music! I’ve been listening to a lot of Better Than Ezra, too. They are a fantastic band from the better LA.

And lastly… This sweater…

the ears tho x-)

I’ve been super kawaii and super comfy in this SweatyRocks sweater from Amazon πŸ˜„ Because it is in Asian sizes, I ordered the XL and it fit just right πŸ’– (Asian sizes are smaller, not just in weight but also in height, arm length, everything).

It’s nice and baggy for comfort. The kitty ears are also very XL, as you can see! Hahaha But it’s just for lounging about at home. It is great quality and super warm and I just looooove it.

I hope you had a good end-of-2020 (considering) and I hope you have some winter favorites, too πŸ™‚ See you in March!

μ•ˆλ…•! Bye! Ciao!

  1. You might like, β€œBorn To Run” by Springsteen. ☺️. If you like your songwriting a bit darker though try his album, β€œNebraska”.

    Also completely over winter πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

  2. That’s cool you are reading books about the Korean War. I love studying history. My Grandapa fought in that war. He was part of a tank crew. I wrote a tribute post about him when he passed away in 2018. He earned several medals for his bravery in battle, including the Korean Service Ribbon. The post is titled “In Honor Of My Grandpa”, if you’d like to read it. God bless.

  3. You’re rocking the kawaii look. I wish I was talented enough to pull it off! I have absolutely no fashion sense whatsoever so I live in hoodies. People are usually surprised when I tell them that I watch anime (not so much anymore…. no time). I may be a white girl but I think it was fate that I would end up marrying an Asian πŸ˜‚

    • Thanks! To be honest, all things fashion are new to me. Most of my life I’ve been a jeans and t-shirt girl πŸ˜„

And anime is awesome πŸ™ƒ I’m also not Asian but I really like it! Have a great weekend!

  4. Bruce Springsteen is a legend and great. Enjoy discovering his music as you do with KPop!

I can’t wait for winter to be over with. Spring is less than a month away!

I forgot you were in Colorado. Were you near the area where the parts of the plane fell from? That news made it all the way up to where we are in Canada.

    • Yesss… we need some warm weather! Might sound silly but I love that it’s already spring in my Animal Crossing πŸ˜„ 😁

Oh, my husband told me about that. No, I’m not near that area, thank goodness. I’ve seen the photos and that was so scary.

  5. Wow, it is still very much winter where you live. IΒ΄m also over winter, canΒ΄t wait for spring and summer to be here and be able to do more things outdoors. Winter with the pandemic means too many hours spent at home. Thank you for sharing your whinter favorites!!
