Mazapán de la Rosa Candy

I found this candy in the Hispanic section of Walmart, and oh I was in for a treat! These are marzipan candies, which I don’t think I’ve ever had before.

peanut candy marzipan style

I really liked the box. The price at Walmart was $1.50, which seems low because you get so many.

you get 12!

They are individually wrapped, and when you bite into them, it is nutty crumbly goodness!!

My husband figured out the box is really a display. I wonder if I bought something meant for a store?

still very pretty!

These were super yummy and if I see them again, I will buy them again! ❤️❤️❤️

안녕! Bye! Ciao!

Thanks for reading!

  1. Marzipan – so like, crushed and sweetened almonds? Was it flavoured?

My parents are from Germany, I grew up there as a kid and I had marzipan when I was little but never liked it all that much. Yours looks quite different from the ones I used to have and I wonder what it tastes like.

    • It was both powdery and crumbled easily, very soft and with small peanut chunks. The soft part melted in your mouth, then you had the crunchy peanut bits.

Mostly it tasted like peanuts, but not as strongly as peanut butter. It was a very light flavor. Really very nice 🙂

And PS: wow, it sounds like you’ve lived in many parts of the world!

      • I’ve been very fortunate to have been around a few countries to study, live and work. 🙂 🌏

Wow, that marzipan seems like nothing I ever had in Germany. It sounds very tasty! Keep those candy reviews coming. I love reading and seeing photos of people’s food. 🙌🙌🙌🙌
