Last week I made banana bread for the first time! I want to save the recipe here in my blog, and if you live at high altitude, this recipe might work for you, too π
I also tried doing a vlog for the first time, so here is that video!
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup melted butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cup mashed banana (about 2 bananas)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In a mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients and stir them together (flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon).
- In a large mixing bowl (the mixer bowl), mix together melted butter and brown sugar. Add in mashed bananas, eggs, and vanilla. Stir until all is well combined.
- Pour dry ingredients into wet ingredients and mix them until all is well incorporated. That’s your banana bread mix! π
- Pour banana bread mix into greased loaf pan and bake for 50 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
I was very happy with the way it came out! My husband enjoyed it, and even my dog had a little bit π π Doing the vlog was fun, too. Here are a couple of photos:

I might do more simple vlogs in the future, maybe practicing my Italian or Korean, or just something simple for fun? π I dunno yet.
Also, I would like to thank everyone who left wonderful, supportive comments on my last post. This video was made last week, but I continue to film and make yummy food and read the Bible as this more difficult week comes by. Your encouragement is very kind and very appreciated! β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
Thanks for reading and/or watching!
μλ ! Bye! Ciao!

Thanks! π I’m trying it out just for fun and will probably make more once things settle down.
It’s funny that when people realize you’re vlogging, they assume you’re doing it for work. But I’m just doing it for fun Haha π€ Thanks and God bless!

Hey! Your vlog turned out great! I love that your husband is heard helping you with the filming at the end. Iβve always liked banana bread, although just plain bananas…not so much. Do you like your mixer? It looks like a nice one! π

Aw Thank you! π He did the close up shots at the end, but didn’t want to be on camera himself π
Oh yes, this mixer is very nice. I use it also to make bread. It kneads the dough nicely. I’m not sure what it is, but it says KitchenAid Classic Plus on it.

Oh a vlog! It’s great! I really your brick backsplash, too. I bought a Tripod at Christmas so I can make cooking vlogs among things but I haven’t had the motivation or courage!

Thanks! π Oh, vlogging is fun but kind of hard. I was surprised at how awkward I got once on camera. Haha You could try it for fun, and if you don’t like the video, you don’t have to share it, so no big π
