I started out the year with Nongshim Spicy Shrimp ramen and I loved it!

It’s made in the bowl, so all I had to do was add in the flavor packet.

Once I added water, the veggies at the bottom came floating up ~ usually green onion and more spices. I appreciated the generous amount of shrimp they gave me.

And while that was cooking for 3:33 minutes, I decided to cut up some imitation crab meat to add at the end, just to keep the seafood theme going.
Just add the crab meat at the end and let it warm up… and BOOM! Seafoody spicy ramen! π
It had a very nice flavor and a medium-heat spiciness to it π It wasn’t “too shrimpy.” It didn’t have that overwhelming seafood taste that other ramen has. However, if you like VERY shrimpy ramen, I do recommend their NeoGuri packet:

I am very happy with my first ramen of the year π

Looks good! I have recently stumbled across Nissin brand βHot & Spicy with Shrimpβ ramen at the grocery. Equally excellent. Very good flavor.

Pro tip: if you mix λꡬ리 λΌλ©΄ & μ§νκ²ν°, you get those famous noodles from Parasite (adding steak is optional).
I tried it and didnβt think it worked well, I preferred the ramen on its (their?) own.

Oh, I meant to watch that movie. I looked it up and it sounds interesting. Not sure if I’ve seen the μ§νκ²ν° around where I live. I see some videos of people making it, so I’m going to check it out! Thanks! π

The movie is just so, so good. Very different from other Korean movies though which is why it was so well received by Western audiences. Not sure if thatβs a good thing for you personally?

I’d have to look it up, I’m not sure what it was about. I remember thinking, “That looks interesting” back when it won the Academy Award, but then life got crazy and I forgot π£

I had to laugh at your shrimp comment and caption! I love imitation crab meat and itβs so yummy. Great idea to include it with the ramen. Iβm gonna try that next time.

I actually really love ramen. I made some βfakeβ pho the other day using the beef one. I added green onions, and mushrooms and some soy sauce and spicy sauce and it was delicious π
