First Ramen of the Year

I started out the year with Nongshim Spicy Shrimp ramen and I loved it!


It’s made in the bowl, so all I had to do was add in the flavor packet.

shake, shake, shake

Once I added water, the veggies at the bottom came floating up ~ usually green onion and more spices. I appreciated the generous amount of shrimp they gave me.

And while that was cooking for 3:33 minutes, I decided to cut up some imitation crab meat to add at the end, just to keep the seafood theme going.

Just add the crab meat at the end and let it warm up… and BOOM! Seafoody spicy ramen! πŸ™‚

It had a very nice flavor and a medium-heat spiciness to it πŸ™‚ It wasn’t “too shrimpy.” It didn’t have that overwhelming seafood taste that other ramen has. However, if you like VERY shrimpy ramen, I do recommend their NeoGuri packet:

  1. Pro tip: if you mix λ„ˆκ΅¬λ¦¬ 라면 & μ§œνŒŒκ²Œν‹°, you get those famous noodles from Parasite (adding steak is optional).

    I tried it and didn’t think it worked well, I preferred the ramen on its (their?) own.

  2. I had to laugh at your shrimp comment and caption! I love imitation crab meat and it’s so yummy. Great idea to include it with the ramen. I’m gonna try that next time.
