Throwback to 1995 🙂 Fear Street: Switched by R.L. Stine.
Let the nostalgia begin!
I recently decided to get all the Fear Street books that I had read back in the 90’s when I was in middle school and high school 🙂 Switched was one of the books I had read.
It’s about a teenager named Nicole and her life is the pits. It sucks. So when her best friend Lucy suggests that they switch bodies, Nicole is intrigued. They go deep into the woods of Fear Street, jump over a wall, and switch bodies!
But Nicole soon realizes Lucy is using her body to get away with murder.
I consider these Fear Street books to be short stories, because they can easily be read in one sitting.
It was fun re-reading this story, about 25 years later, and seeing how much I remembered and how much I had forgotten. I do remember that it totally blew my mind back then 😆
Even though the stories in the Fear Street books (and Goosebumps) are all very simple, they were really good for me learning English. The simple writing was easy to understand, and I learned a lot of teen slang that I could use in everyday life.
Quick, fun, and easy to digest, Switched was a fun thrill 🙂
What’s your favorite 90s book?
안녕! Bye! Ciao!
