Pho the First Time

I used to live by a place that had fantastic pho. But they had even better spicy chicken, so I could never bring myself to try the pho instead 😝

Now that I don’t live there anymore, I guess cup pho will do πŸ€—

my first taste of pho

The noodles came in a separate baggy, so that was interesting. I like that they were still intact and not broken. It came with soup base + sriracha.

The cooking is pretty standard: add soup base, water, and microwave for 3 minutes.

adding soup base,
then into the microwave it goes!

As it microwaved it filled my kitchen with the scent of lemony herbs 😍 It smelled more like something from Bath and Body Works than something I would eat!

such a flowery scent

The noodles were a good texture. The flowery/herbal scent remained, but once I got used to it, it was really very delicious πŸ™‚ If I put it in a real bowl, it would be like a restaurant experience.

Nongshim is an inexpensive brand, and I’ve been very happy with their products πŸ™‚ Simple and yum!

μ•ˆλ…•! Bye! Ciao!

      • That’s a very common thing for students, uni students and 아저씨s / other working class men to do. They get their μ†Œμ£Ό, 막걸리, beer snacks and ramen in the night, or just the ramen in the day time, and sit outside because it’s a fraction of going to a ν˜Έν”„μ§‘ (pub – from German Hof) or a restaurant.

Everyone else will eat out. Options are cheap and plentiful, eating at a 편의점 is not considered very classy especially when there’s so many affordable places around.

      • Oh, I see. Thanks so much! Life in other countries, especially Korea, is so interesting to me. But since I only watch Korean TV and watch vlogs, I can never be sure what’s normal and what’s just for TV.

        Very cool. Thanks again πŸ™‚
