This month, I’m dropping by weekly š The first week of July was very fun for me, with driving and movies and fireworks!
First of all, I read this amazing book:

Where the Birds Never Sing by Jack Sacco.
Nonfiction
This book is not for the faint of heart because, well, it’s about WWII. It also includes photos at the end that will definitely break your heart.
But it’s good to learn about history, and this book gave me a first-person point of view of what it was like for the 92nd Signal Battalion and a soldier named Joe Sacco.
The book fascinated me, to be honest. I’m really glad that I read it, and I highly recommend it.
On a waaaaay less serious note, I also watched this movie:

Josie and the Pussycats (2001)
This movie doesn’t take itself seriously at all š I was literally cracking up from the very opening scene!
And unlike Jem and the Holograms (2015, 𤢠𤮠𤢠š¤®), which was horrible, this movie was fun, quirky, and cute!
Also unlike Jem (man, that movie sucked), this movie took the time to have the girls perform actual songs!! Several of them, actually. They are catchy tunes, full songs, and now I’m wondering if there is a soundtrack somewhere…
Anyway, that was really a good time š I loved Tara Reid’s character.
We watched fireworks, ate BBQ, and relaxed since most of the week was a holiday.

Oh! And we had two wonderful visitors this week! š

That’s pretty much it! The next two days will be me finishing up my chores and reading the Bible, though I’m trying to talk my husband into getting some Little Ceasar’s pizza for lunch tomorrow š I dunno, maybe that’s another terrible food decision. Hahaha
I hope your week was great too! ģė ! Bye! Ciao!

Oh my gosh, I can totally see my husband buying that twinkie cereal and doing the same thing! I can’t tell you how many weird things he buys with pure excitement and then he ends up shaking his head and wiping his tongue like a little kid, “No no no!! Ewwwww!!” I am going to have to find that cereal because I guarantee he will want to try it! š

Hahaha! He sounds fun! They have these and another with the little Donette powdered donuts. I want those, even though I probably don’t need them š Hehe

You can hold that rabbit. That’s the animal in the circle, right? I get enough of those in my yard, not to mention groundhogs. Destructive.

Yep, it’s a little rabbit š We had a mountain lion in the area once and that was not fun (Colorado). Groundhogs are pretty big, aren’t they? I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen one.

The two groundhogs that I see regularly are. One is huge! And I one heard a sawing noise and a few seconds later, realized that one of them had sawed his way through my neighbors’ wood fence.

Wasn’t it amazing?? I think that’s the first war/history book I’ve read in a first person point of view, and it was very impactful.

Iām glad Tyson did good for the fireworks. š Foster was pretty calm, too, and only went under the bed when the neighbors behind us started setting off the really big, illegal ones š¬ It sounds like you had a fun week š

Aww My kitties felt safe going under the bed too (back when I had cats, years ago). I hope you enjoyed your week as well, take care! š
