A Spark of Heavenly Fire

What do you do when you’re living through a pandemic in Colorado?
You read a book about a pandemic in Colorado!

I recently finished A Spark of Heavenly Fire, and it was a thrill from beginning to end πŸ”₯

The book follows several characters, some from Colorado, some trying desperately to get out of Colorado. My favorite part of the book was the way each character felt so real. Each character had wants, needs, and profound emotions.

The characters deal with many issues besides the pandemic, such as grief, friendship, ambition, homelessness, heartbreak, and more – without crowding the main plot.

The book has the perfect mix of thrilling action, conspiracy, romance, and medical mystery.

What’s different about this book?

The thing about this book is that it felt so human. I sometimes get in a rut of reading only “genre” books with a formula. I know what’s coming, because the formula demands it so. People pay ghostwriters, editors, and more to make the formula every single time.

But this book always kept me guessing! I wondered and wanted to know where the story was going. What would the characters do next? It shocked me in some parts, and in other parts it made me smile πŸ™‚

I had a really great time reading it πŸ₯°
