This is a concentric circle. I’m the happy octopus in the middle.

I’m in my octopus house. #2 is my neighborhood, #3 is my town, and we can say that #4 is my state, and #5 the entire United States (that’s where I live).
I can’t reach all of the U.S. so I don’t worry about all of the U.S. That’s okay.
But I want to talk about circles #2 and #3, because I am so proud of my little town!

My neighbors are all super chill π There’s no “mask-shaming” or paranoid side-eyes. People still go outside, ride their bikes, walk their dogs. We’re careful, not suspicious. We see one another and wave, we barbecue in our backyards without issue, we are still living life and being kind. So proud! π
The buses still go by, and all of our local grocery stores have perfected the art of grocery delivery. The delivery person always makes sure we see the groceries ~ he usually waves from the road and smiles… uh, I’m assuming the last one, since they do wear masks! π€£
The neighbors used to howl at 8 pm (my little dog got so scared!) but that faded with the most hilarious thing I’ve ever heard.
The guys next door are fairly young (20’s) and one of them goes out and howls, but no one else did that night, and he goes “HOOOoOOooOoooo…. oooo hh” and slowly stops in shame. Hahaha π No one has made noise since, but I’m sure we’re all still grateful. (My dog is certainly thankful that they stopped!)
Life continues almost as normal in my little town. Almost. I am so proud of the peacefulness that I’ve seen in my neighborhood, and I’m so proud that people have chosen kindness over paranoia.
μλ ! Bye! Ciao!

I love my neighbors and my neighborhood but mostly the older people wear masks and the younger ones don’t around the neighborhood. Some stay socially distant and some don’t.
However, in the grocery stores, you are required to wear a face covering and you can bet everyone does or you won’t get in.

My son wears a mask every time he goes out. Though he is 29 now, so he isnβt that young anymore but he will always be to me. I live in Minneapolis, so not so proud of my town at the moment. But I liked this post and the picture at the top.
