I LOVED this movie! I very much enjoy all types of war movies, and I watched this one last night and really, really enjoyed it!
It was done in a very creative way– the entire movie looked like it was filmed in one long, continuous shot. This added to the time urgency that the characters faced.
I had never seen the actors before, so I was able to immerse myself in the story. I just can’t watch another Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise movie. Even Will Smith and Tom Hanks make me much too aware that I’m watching a movie. But that’s just me.
The film was also emotional, without candy-coating the realities of war. History is a bloody, gory thing, and although the film was true to war, it didn’t have shock-value scenes and didn’t harp on any one particular gory scene. Well done.
The cinematography… wow. In many ways, it was a beautiful film! ❤️❤️❤️
– Spoiler section –
My only con is a bit of a SPOILER, so do not read this paragraph if you don’t want a spoiler:
Benedict Cumberbatch’s very unique face shows up at the end, taking me out of the realism of the movie. I was fully immersed, and then his VERY recognizable face reminded me that hey, I was just watching a movie. Womp, womp 😦

All in all, we had a great time watching this movie. We paused it so that everyone had a bathroom break, and we didn’t even realize we had watched half the movie already! We were so into it! 😆
Definitely for adults, because you know. War. Very emotional, beautifully made, and a fantastic plot. Happy I watched it 🙂
안녕! Bye! Ciao!
Other movies I’ve seen recently that I recommend: Logan (2017), Joker (2019), Death of a Cheerleader (1994), Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017).
