We had the first real warm sunny day recently, so I took that opportunity to bathe my doggie. He usually has that really yummy puppy smell, but he was getting a bit too aromatic ๐
My husband and I washed him good (with original Dawn dish detergent, which is gentle enough even for small kittens!) and towel-dried him. Then we went outside to sun.

But when we bathe him, he gets the “post-bath zoomies.” It usually works out well.
He takes off in the backyard, doing laps and shaking off the moisture ๐ It’s like bathing gives him a jolt of energy!
Only sometimes, he gets so happy it hurts ๐คจ

The first time it happened, we took him to the vet. The vet was very gentle and helpful, and even funny, and he did a full checkup. There was nothing wrong with Mr. Holyfield. He had only a minor sprain.
The vet gave us the equivalent of doggie aspirin and told us to let him rest.
Usually, the rule of thumb with animals is this: if they stop eating or drinking water, that’s when it’s serious.
Mr. Holyfield the Dog rested a few days, then he was back to being his usual happy self ๐

But, today is an aspirin & rest type of day for us. Because he got too happy again, and again, he has a sore muscle.
No worries, though. He’s still eating, sucking up food like a vacuum cleaner, and begging for human food. Hahaha ๐
Mr. Tyson Evander Holyfield is a miniature pinscher mutt from the Humane Society, and I firmly believe in adopt, don’t shop!
I also believe in know-your-breed before getting them. Soooo many pit bull mixes at the Humane Society (like, 95% of them!!!) because people don’t read up on the breed’s strength and needs ๐ข A quick Google search before adoption does the trick ๐
That’s it for today! Be happy like my dog, but not so much it hurts!
์๋ ! Bye! Ciao!
